We have been blessed over the years and have many, many accomplishments. Just to share a few: Purchased van in 2001, replaced roof in 2004, purchased a newer van, purchased a new a/c unit, computer, finance accounting software, new sound system.
God has allowed us to “Call Family and Friends to tell them about the Great things He has done, by assigning Rev. Phyllis Rose Brown, Master of Divinity, as our Pastor in October 2020. She is a profound student of the Gospel with a concentrated effort of focusing her knowledge deeper in the scriptures and eagerly sharing her knowledge to our weekly Bible Study sessions. We have an increased interest and enthusiasm for God’s Word. She maintains a continuous desire to reach our youth and to keep them focused on their relationship with God and how He will be their everlasting help, in any time of need. The Church has purchased computer tablets for the youth to be able to participate with the weekly Youth Explosion Bible Study as well as Area, Conference and Episcopal YPD Ministries. We have an active Sons of Allen Men’s Ministry. Rev. Brown’s “help-mate” First Gentleman Greggory Brown, Sr., came ready to work for the beautification of our landscape on a weekly basis, free of charge. Rev. Brown orchestrated the purchase of our new air conditioning system, $13,500 that was been paid for 3 in full in February. Security Monitoring System has been installed. Our Church Office Administration has a new desktop computer and laptop. We have had a continued season of virtual praise and worship services during this Covid19 season and the attendance for our four weekly services has been outstanding! We have also maintained our business meetings virtually as regularly scheduled. Rev. Brown has conducted training for our Steward and Trustee Ministries and trained the procedures for Re-opening Our Church after the Pandemic. Our church was authorized to be re-opened by our Bishop beginning June 13, 2021.
We are very blessed to be under the leadership of Rev. Brown, who also serves as the Director of Christian Education for the Central Conference of the Eleventh Episcopal District of the AME Church.
Let us celebrate this Homecoming Day all of the blessings that God has seen us through and the GREAT things He has done for us!
